Growing up in suburban Detroit, Michelle came of age hearing the Sex Pistols in one ear and Zeppelin in the other, and she had a rock & roll attitude from the get-go.
She was first inspired to pick up the guitar by her older brother.
"I would chop out whatever he was playing that day, which was usually like Bob
Seger or Aerosmith," she laughs.
Add the inevitable influence of '80s power-pop and you can see where she's coming from. Hook
laden well-crafted songs that, once turned over, also show their raw side.
Now based in L.A., Michelle's led a nomadic musical existence. A wanderer at heart, Michelle still leads a tri-city existence in L.A., New York and Detroit, with bands to back her in each town.
